A Legacy of Execution
In 1954, James and Charles Magbee opened a small lumberyard in Decatur, Georgia. With just seven employees and a few trucks, they set a new standard for builder-focused service. As Atlanta’s suburbs expanded, so did Magbee, moving to Scottdale, then Duluth, and eventually Winder.
In 1989, Bob Magbee, son of Charles, became President. Having grown up unloading railcars and launching his own millwork shop, Bob brought fresh energy and a passion for craftsmanship. He renamed the company Magbee Contractors Supply and set a clear vision: serve Georgia’s builders with precision and professionalism.
Today, that vision lives on through Magbee Luxury. With operations in Winder and Ball Ground, we continue to support the Southeast’s top custom builders with materials and service that meet elevated expectations.
